About Roaring Fork Show Up
History
Founded in 2020, the Roaring Fork Show Up Organization embodies inclusivity and advocacy in the underrepresented communities of the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. Increasing access to boardrooms, snowsports, and ownership are the cornerstones of this organization. With a steadfast commitment to amplifying the voices of the oppressed, advocating for systemic change, and fostering genuine connections within diverse communities, we serve as a beacon of social justice. Show Up for one another isn’t just a motto but a guiding principle, driving members to actively engage in advocacy, dialogue, and action. Through initiatives aimed at creating financial equity, bridging racial divides, and increasing access and opportunity for BIPOC individuals in business and snow sports through partnerships with the National Brotherhood of Snowsports (NBS), Roaring Fork Show Up aims to dismantle barriers and cultivate a more inclusive community as a whole. Education and providing safe spaces for meaningful conversations and connections are central to the mission. We hope to see you, whether on the slopes, trails, or in the community.

Through targeted initiatives and collaborative partnerships, we aim to increase accessibility and representation in outdoor spaces. Our short-term goals include organizing a series of outdoor events, such as hiking excursions, skiing trips, and community camping days, specifically designed to welcome and celebrate diversity. By providing opportunities for connection, skill-building, and cultural exchange in natural settings, we seek to foster a sense of belonging and empowerment among BIPOC individuals. Additionally, we are committed to offering resources and support to overcome barriers, whether financial, logistical, or cultural, that may prevent participation. Through these efforts, we aspire to create a more inclusive outdoor community where everyone feels welcome and valued.
